Your first mindmap in 60 seconds
Create your first mindmap and capture ideas entirely from the keyboard.
Your first mindmap in 60 seconds
webermap is keyboard-first. You never need the mouse to build a full structure. Follow these steps and you will have your first mindmap in about a minute.
1. Create a new mindmap
- In the dashboard, click New mindmap.
- Type a name, such as “Q3 Campaign”, and confirm with
Enter. - The editor opens with a central root node, and the cursor is already inside it.
2. Name the root node
Just start typing, for example Product launch. Press Esc to leave edit mode without losing anything.
3. Build structure from the keyboard
This is where webermap gets fast:
Tabadds a child node (one level deeper).Enteradds a sibling node (same level).Shift+Tabmoves a node one level left (outdent).- Use the arrow keys to move between nodes.
For example, under “Product launch” capture the children Audience, Channels, and Budget. Press Enter for each sibling, Tab to go one level deeper.
4. Rename and delete nodes
- Double-click, or press
Enteron a selected node, to start editing. - Select a node and press
Backspaceto remove it along with its children.
5. Save and share
webermap saves automatically and in real time. There is nothing to save manually. Use Share in the top right to invite colleagues or generate a link.

- Try AI generation to turn a single keyword into a complete structure.
- Learn the core keyboard shortcuts to make your workflow even smoother.
Tip: on your first try, keep your hands on the keyboard. Tab and Enter alone are enough to build a complete mindmap.
