Real-time collaboration & sharing

In webermap, several people work on the same mindmap at once. Changes appear instantly for everyone, with no reload and no save button.

Edit together

As soon as someone opens a map you are working on, you can see each other:

• Live cursors show where each person is right now.
• New nodes and renames sync in real time.
• Conflicts merge automatically, so no one accidentally overwrites another person’s work.

This makes webermap well suited to shared brainstorming, even when everyone is remote.

Share a mindmap

1. Open the mindmap and click Share in the top right.
2. Choose how you want to share:
   • By invite – specific people with a role (editor or viewer).
   • By link – a shareable link, optionally read-only.
3. Copy the link or send the invitation directly from webermap.

Control access

• Restrict links to view only when external people should only read.
• Stop sharing at any time by disabling the link.
• Inside the workspace, the roles from Member settings apply as well.

Present and gather feedback

• Use a read-only link to show stakeholders a map without granting edit rights.
• Gather feedback right inside the map by adding nodes together.

Data protection

All content and the real-time sync are hosted in the EU. Shared links can be revoked at any time, so you keep control over sensitive mindmaps.

Tip for workshops

Open the map together at the start, agree on one “writer” per branch, and use live cursors to stay oriented. That keeps even a large team in sync and productive.
